  • Winner of prior game must keep same character but may change moon
  • Loser of prior game may switch character and moon
  • Random stage select (players may opt for an agreed stage)
    • Red stages and grass stages are not legal for tournament play (unless agreed upon by both players and relayed to a referee)
    • The stage “…and nothing heart” is not legal for tournament play under any circumstances
    • If random select lands on a non-legal stage, return to menu and repeat random stage selection
  • All game mods are banned
