Featuring 24+ tournaments across Memorial Day Weekend, COMBO BREAKER’s 24/7 venue experience now resides inside 120,000 square feet of column free venue space at the Renaissance Schaumburg Convention Center and Hotel! Our signature concert style staging, vendors, guest artists, and more will all be on hand to celebrate COMBO BREAKER’s inaugural year in Schaumburg, Illinois, USA. New and Noteworthy For COMBO BREAKER 2022

We have put together a mix of new and returning tournaments and activities for our 2022 event. Many details about COMBO BREAKER 2022 will be announced throughout the coming months, but let’s take a look at a few marquee announcements today!

COVID-19 Policies

To help ensure the safety of all COMBO BREAKER attendees, and in accordance with Illinois mandates, proof of vaccination will be required to attend COMBO BREAKER 2022. Additionally, all attendees will be required to wear face masks throughout the event venue and facilities. More about COVID-19 Policies and protocols can be found HERE.

A Stylish New Venue

The Renaissance Schaumburg boasts the space necessary for COMBO BREAKER to expand tournament pool space, increase dedicated casuals, add new stages, streams, and special activities, all while providing comfortable sleeping rooms in the attached Marriott hotel. A coffee cafe, public house, and sizable bar round out the new venue experience. Nearby food and shopping too!

New Tournaments

For the first time COMBO BREAKER is hosting Guilty Gear – Strive-, Under Night In-Brith Exe:Late[cl-r], Street Fighter V: Champion Edition, Granblue Fantasy: Versus, Melty Blood: Type Lumina, Bloody Roar: Primal Fury, and more! Discover our full tournament games list on the event page HERE.

The COMBO BREAKER Pop-up Shop returns with new, limited edition items for 2022! Featuring apparel, posters, and accessories producing in collaboration with colorreaper, The Hadou, and more!

Days of Future Past Room

COMBO BREAKER is once again working with Paradise Arcade Shop to produce a thematic Arcade experience at CB2022! The Utopia ballroom will feature a free play arcade and a presentation stage showcasing our arcade tournaments! Come experience the rich history of fighting games.

Community Tournaments Initiative

We are once again providing dedicated resources for community tournaments at COMBO BREAKER 2022! In collaboration with dedicated organizers, streamers, and staging staff, this is Community Tournaments with a serious upgrade in prestige and presentation. Read more about the initiative HERE.

The Mystery Game Tournament

256 players will compete in the annual Mystery Game Tournament at COMBO BREAKER, each one experiencing a new competitive title in every round of the bracket! A long standing, beloved tradition returns to CB2022!
